Forest Row Community Fridge

A Community Initiative in Forest Row, East Sussex Redistributing Fresh Surplus Food

Services

COVID UPDATE

During the current lockdown the community fridge will be close to the public, we are still providing food to households in need by appointment only. If you or someone you know is needing assistance please call the Forest Row Helpline and ask for the community fridge team. Tell: 01342 774882

What We Do

We collect fresh, nutritious perfectly edible food that can no longer be sold or is no longer needed

We safely store produce in our two community fridges and two freezers. Food is logged into the fridges and weighed back out so that we can track weight.

We redistribute this fresh produce to all that want to join the fight against food waste

How Does It Work?

If you’d like to use the Forest Row Community Fridge it’s really simple. Turn up during our opening hours, help yourself to food that you will use, weigh out your produce and enjoy! For further information please see our frequently asked questions.
